Friday is For...

French Toast!

I have been telling Morwenna for about two weeks now that I would teach her how to make french toast. So after feeling like this morning was the perfect day after an adventurous night out, as mentioned in the last post, we finally did it.

If you don't already know how to make this delicious breakfast, brunch, or basically anytime meal. Let me tell you how! It's really simple, so if you're not a cook, don't worry!

Ingredients: (makes approximately 4 slices)
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
a few drops of Vanilla Extract
butter or olive oil spray to grease the pan
bread

To begin you want to break the eggs into a shallow dish, then add the milk and vanilla extract. Whisk the three ingredients together.

Take a frying pan and put on medium heat and melt the butter or spray the pan.

Take one slice of bread an dip each side in the egg mixture (be sure not to soak the bread too much, as then it won't cook as nice) and place in the frying pan. After a few minutes check to see if the side has browned, and if so flip over until the other side is browned.

Then, voila! You are ready to enjoy! My favorite topping is maple syrup. Morwenna and I used our "borrowed" syrup from Butterfinger Pancakes. But fruit is a nice addition as well as icing sugar if you're feeling fancy.
